i know. it's the Bull Center. the first idea was to have an ally config, where there were two banks of audience, facing each other, and looking at each other through the action of the play, which i thought was really important.
i have been told that it is 'impossible' to stage in that config.
so there we are.
maybe some will have issue with me stating this, it is however what is. and i roll with it.

Rocky Horror From Concept to Cult:
ReplyDelete“Joe Public’s head, naturally, was powerless to resist being turned in this unusual wake. To the Bromley Brigade, their look was everything and the group all-encompassing. However, there was frequently a sour side o this sweet coin: today, Rocky Horror Picture Show fans who make the pilgrimage to the silver screen by public transport are fully accepted and thought rather amusing. In 1973, however, the King’s Road phalanx of punks and fetishists were frequently grievously abused for their anarchic and anti-establishment ‘look’. Then, the pre-punk were like aliens visiting a backward planet. Members of the Bromley Brigade were aware of the reaction they provoked, but they didn’t care. Contradictorily, though, they did care about their look, because they cared what the group thought, what their peers thought. As to what others though, however, they gave not a damn.”
